Community Guidelines
These rules help keep university communities useful, respectful and safe.
Last updated: 10 August 2026
1. Be respectful
Treat other students the way you would want to be treated. Harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing and discrimination are not allowed and may lead to permanent removal.
2. Keep it authentic
No impersonation, spam, scams or unauthorised commercial promotion. Anonymous posting hides your nickname from other users; it does not hide your identity from NOOK or the law.
3. Filtering and moderation
NOOK uses server validation, rate limits, visibility controls, report thresholds and authorised human moderation to reduce objectionable or abusive content. We may hide or remove content, preserve evidence, warn a user, suspend posting or ban an account according to severity and applicable law.
4. Report concerns
Use Report on a post, comment or user. Reports are prioritised according to severity and reviewed as promptly as reasonably possible. Do not retaliate or repost harmful content. Report credible immediate threats to the appropriate emergency service as well.
5. Block abusive users
Open the person's profile and choose Block User. Their named content and supported contact routes will be hidden or restricted for you. You can review and remove blocks from My > Blocked Users.
6. Complaints and appeals
For potentially illegal content, an unavailable report flow, a moderation complaint or an appeal, email support@official-nook.com with the content or report identifier. Do not include passwords or one-time codes.
Questions, privacy requests and moderation appeals can be sent to support@official-nook.com.
